Performing Functional Modern Hospital Building
Hospital should be place to promote health, not just only for curing diseases. And this ultra modern hospital building designed based on that concept. This building won first prize in an international architecture competition in 2008.
This building is a design for a hospital in the city of Espoo (Finland). The building consists of a number of free-form units in which rooms are arranged around internal courtyards. The rooms face the outside of the building, while the space around the inner gardens functions both as circulation space and common living space.
From the 3D image, we can view, that this modern building is not only free-form design building, but also luxury. The landscape is great, full of peaceful atmosphere, just like the jury said that the designed hospital can be characterized as “a centre of vitality and well-being without a trace of institutional feeling”.
